Treat your skin with aspirin: 6 beauty tricks from your first aid kit

Hi beautiful,

You know that the universal remedy for any fever symptoms, pains, inflammations or flu is aspirin. What you probably didn’t know is the fact that this pain killer is also an efficient skin care aid. It can make your complexion look younger, smoother and brighter.

The acetylsalicylic acid acts as an exfoliating and anti-inflammatory agent and accelerates the cellular renewal. It also makes wrinkles and fine lines fade away, prevents the dark spots and the aging process. Just read and learn!

Aspirin heals the acne and prevents the clogged pores

Its anti-inflammatory effects work perfectly on your skin. Crush 2 or 3 aspirin pills and mix them with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Apply this mix on your face and after 5 to 10 minutes rinse with warm water, without rubbing. This medical beauty treat will calm your complexion and make the clogged pores disappear. Still, you should avoid using this mix before sun exposure.

It keeps your complexion young and fresh

The inflammatory process, which has a bad influence not only to the surface of the skin but also in the collagen production of the skin cells, can look different on your face, from acne to couperosis and aging signs. That’s why an aspirin mask will minimize these risks. Crush 5 aspirin pills and mix them with one spoon of honey then apply the mask all over your face. After 10 minutes, rinse with warm water. Trust me, this beauty trick can stop the time!

It’s exfoliating time… with aspirin!

That’s right! The acetylsalicylic acid removes all the dead skin cells, controls the sebum excess and minimize the pores. This is the cheapest and the easiest way to exfoliate your complexion. Mix 5-6 crushed aspirin pills with water and start massaging your face with this mask. Let it a little more on your skin before rinsing. Your complexion will look more clean and shiny. This mix is also a good remedy for insect stings, healing the redness or the tickling sensation on the skin.

Acetylsalicylic acid or skin toner

Aspirin acts as a natural antiseptic agent for your skin. So, prepare a homemade toning lotion with acetylsalicylic acid for daily use and keep it in the fridge. Dissolve 8 to 10 aspirin pills in half of a cup of water and add 4 spoons of white vinegar. Shake it well and pour it in a dark glass bottle. Clean your face with this toner and let it act for 10 minutes before washing your face.

It reduces puffiness

The anti-inflammatory properties of the aspirin work miracles on puffy eyes, too. Dissolve 3 aspirin pills in water and mix till you get a paste then apply it on your eyelids. Be careful that it won’t get into your eyes! After 15 minutes, rinse with water. The puffiness will disappear.

Bye-bye dark spots!

The aspirin has in its composition soluble fats used in the cosmetic industry for illuminators and makeup removers. So, use it with confidence! Mix 7 aspirins with 3 teaspoons of yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey and apply this mask on your clean face. Remove it with water after 15 minutes and your skin will look radiant and smooth.

Isn’t it great what aspirin can do for your skin? Maybe you should move it from the first aid kit into the beauty box.

With love,

Adele
