The beauty from the fridge: 6 ingredients to feed your skin

Hi beautiful,

Do you remember the time when you were a child and you used to put the food all over your face? Well, actually that was a good habit and you can still do it sometimes. There are a few ingredients that can refresh not only your plating, but also your complexion.

Here are some examples of beauty foods from your fridge:

Yoghurt

A rich source of lipids, the natural yoghurt is a real treasure for your dry skin. Mix half of natural yoghurt with a spoon of honey, apply this mask on your face and keep it there until it dries off. Then, massage your face with your fingers in order to create an exfoliating process, rinse with warm water and apply a moisturizing crème as a final touch.

Egg white
Did you cook something and you have some extra egg white? Don’t throw it away! Use it for a beauty mask. Mix it and apply it gentle on your skin, with a brush, right after having had a gommage. Let the mask dry and rinse with water. Your skin will be refreshed and younger.

Sour cream
The natural fat contained in sour cream is wonderful for moisturizing dry skin, especially for your dry hands, where it will work miracles. Mix three spoons of sour cream with one of sweet almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Wash your hands and face with a gentle cleanser then apply the mask and keep it there for 30 minutes.

The cucumber
Rich in vitamins, with an important astringent effect and purifying in the same time, the cucumber is ideal for mattifying the oily skin and controlling the sebum excess. Boil half a liter of water, slice a bio cucumber in the hot water, continue boiling it for another 5 minutes, filter the water and then use it as a toning lotion, applying it with a cotton pad. You can even conserve it in the fridge for 48 hours.

Carrots
Due to the richness in vitamin C and beta-carotene, the carrots give color to your skin and fight against aging. Wash and peel three carrots, then squeeze their juice. In this juice add three spoons of sweet almond oil, blend it thoroughly and use it as a massage oil especially after a sun bath. You will get an amazing long lasting tan.

Lemon

The lemon is a real miracle for your face and hands. On your complexion, it generates the same effect as the cucumber. As for your nails, it whitens them, makes them stronger and also helps them grow. Cut a lemon in two and massage your nails with the pulp, for a few minutes, then rinse with water. You can do the same on your face. It will give you a pinching sensation but it will worth.

With love,

Adele
