FOR YOUR EYES ONLY: 6 miraculous masks in your eye-care routine!

Hi beautiful,

The eyes are the window to your soul, that’s why you have to give them a special treatment.

Besides, the skin around your eyes is four times thinner than the rest of your face and more vulnerable to wrinkles and irritations. Because of the small number of sebaceous glands in this area, the skin around the eyes gets easily dry, while the more fragile collagen and elastin fibers make room for the wrinkles attack. And there are much more reasons why the eye contour can be overwhelmed by expression lines, dryness, puffiness and dark circles: excessive blinking, cold weather or excessive sun exposure, the habit of smoking, stress, sleep disorders or inappropriate cosmetics can cause your eyes real trouble. Since you can’t keep yourself away from all these aggressive factors, there are some natural allies which can fix the problems in a twinkling.

Here’s a list of the best beauty masks for your eye contour area:

Green tea and cucumber against eye fatigue

Ingredients: 10 slices of fresh cucumber, 1 tea bag with green tea, 50 ml water.

Boil the water, make the tea and right after it gets cold, add the cucumber and keep this mix in the fridge for about an hour. Take out the cucumber slices and apply them on your eyes (5 on each eye) covering the entire eye contour. Remove them after 15 minutes and your eyes will look fresher than ever.

Potatoes against irritations and dark circles

Ingredients: half of a raw potato, 1 spoon of moisturizing day crème for sensitive skin.

Grate the potato and squeeze the excess of juice, then mix it with the moisturizing crème. You’ll get a very moisturizing mask with a calming effect for your eye contour area. Apply it on the skin around your eyes and let it do its job for 10 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

Sour cream and parsley against puffy eyes

Ingredients: 2 teaspoons of sour cream, 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley.

Blend the parsley with the sour cream then apply this mask on your eyelids, covering the entire area around your eyes. After 10 minutes, rinse with cold water and…boom! The puffiness disappeared!

Egg yolk and honey against wrinkles

Ingredients: 1 egg yolk, 2 spoons of honey.

Mix the ingredients and apply this sticky mask on your orbital area. After 5 to 10 minutes, rinse with water. If you’ll follow this beauty ritual constantly, you can be sure that your eyes will say bye-bye to fine lines.

Avocado and almond oil against dry skin

Ingredients: 5 drops of almond oil, 3 slices of avocado.

Smash the avocado slices and blend them with the almond oil, apply the mask on the skin around your eyes and rinse after 5 minutes. This miraculous mix will richly moisturize and nourish your skin.

Sage for a fresh look

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of sage, 50 ml water.

Boil the sage for 10 minutes, and then pour the tea into two separate cups: keep one it in the fridge, the other one keep it warm. Soak two cotton pads in the warm tea, apply them on your eyelids and keep them there for 10 minutes. Then replace them with another two cotton pads soaked in the cold tea, for 10 minutes more. Repeat the process one more time. In the end, you’ll see the light in your own eyes…and around them.

With love,
