Amazing beauty secrets from other cultures: Made in India!
“Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art.” Not only Ralph Waldo Emerson believed this, but also the Indian women, which still use nature to emphasize and keep their beauty at its best.
Considering beauty a form of art, the Indians have discovered the most efficient beauty secrets… and we found out a few of them, which we’ve decided to share with you:
A skin so soft
Start your day with an invigorating shower and massage your wet skin with a mix made of oatmeal and water. This natural exfoliating crème will make your skin shine. Then, in order to get that baby soft skin feel, apply a mask made of honey and smashed apples on your body and give it 30 minutes to get deeply into your skin and nourish it, then rinse with cold water.
A radiant complexion
When it comes to beauty, Indian women use fresh ingredients to create special homemade beauty masks that moisturize and rejuvenate their complexion. The most famous is a mask made of grapes, carrots and honey used to refresh the skin. Another one is made of 3 traditional plants - Haritaki, Amla (Indian Gooseberry) and Bibhitaki - with miraculous effects on the skin.
Aloe vera is also the beloved ingredient of the Indians. They apply it daily on their skin, in order to protect it from the external aggressive factors. And some people use the basil tea for its disinfecting properties.
The whitening skin trick used by Indian women is actually a delicate mix of honey and fresh lemon juice. They apply it on the face in circular motions and they rinse the skin with warm water, after 10 minutes.
Due to a healthy mix of sesame oil and honey, which Indian women apply on their lips all day long, they have always a charming smile. And when they want to give them a rich color, the solution is not the lipstick. They add some sandalwood powder, the same ingredient they use when they draw the bindi on their forehead. The effect is fabulous; lips become very soft and with a delicious shade.
Coconut oil, well known for its nourishing properties and Shikakai powder (a fruit known as “hair fruit”, which has been used for centuries, for maintaining the health of both scalp and hair) are the main ingredients that Indian women use on their hair in order to make it look smooth and shiny.
After all, these Indian beauty tricks, don’t you think that the exotic ingredients are amazing?
